Just like you, we are passionate about our right to privacy – and we give others the same respect we desire from them.
What information do we collect, how is it protected?
During registration we collect all of the information that you provide to the form, which may include your name, email address, company name, and other basic profile information.
During the live broadcast we will also track which session(s) you viewed if you have signed in to watch the broadcast. If you participate in any give-away events or complete any additional registration forms that information is stored as well.
You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
How is your information used?
Any of the information we collect from you will only be used in one of the following ways:
i) To send periodic emails
The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to the event as well as occasional news, updates, related product or service information, etc.
ii) To create your attendee profile badge
If you have selected a public profile badge we will display only the public profile information that we collected (your name, role, company, first year using WordPress, personal URL, twitter URL) to other signed-in registrants with public profiles.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
Yes, in two very specific cases only:
- Your personal data may be shared with the third party sponsor(s) if you register for their sponsored workshops.
- Your personal data may be shared with the Presenting sponsor(s) for the event for follow-up emails.
Outside of those two cases, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential and not reuse it for any other purposes. We may also release your information if release is required to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
