Beau Lebens is the head of Engineering at WooCommerce, where he works with teams to build a modern, powerful commerce solution on top of the WordPress platform. Beau has focused on building web-scale systems for over 25 years, the last 15 years at Automattic helping to build WooCommerce, WordPress.com, Jetpack, and others.

With years of experience in both engineering and product leadership roles at Automattic, one of the earliest and largest fully remote/distributed companies, Beau is passionate about everything that comes together at the intersection of web technology, distributed companies, and culture.
